The Lions will compete in their final home meet of the season Friday, taking on Navy at 2 p.m. ET
NEW YORK — The Columbia men's swimming and diving team will host its final meet of the season inside Percy Uris Natatorium on Friday, welcoming in the Navy Midshipmen at 2 p.m. ET.
The meet will serve as Senior Day for Columbia's four seniors: Shane Brett, Kevin Fulton, Pearce Kieser and Brian Tsau.
Live results for the meet will be available via Meet Mobile.
The Lions are coming off back-to-back Ivy League victories for an unblemished 2-0 mark in the new year. Most recently, Columbia took down Brown, 163-137, on Jan. 19. Using early momentum with wins in the first five events, Columbia was able to secure the win quickly.
SCOUTING NAVY
Navy brings a non-conference challenge for the Lions, boasting an 11-2 mark in dual meets this season. The Midshipmen's only two losses came against LSU and Princeton. Navy is also coming off a pair of wins, having defeated North Carolina (161-134) and Penn State (163.5-131.5) on Jan. 12.
Last season's meeting between the two teams was a nail-biter, with Columbia securing an incredibly close 151-149 victory on Jan. 26, 2018.
ON DECK
Columbia will return to action on Friday, Feb. 1, traveling to Dartmouth for the regular season finale. The meet is set to begin at 5 p.m.
