Lions Look to Continue Win Streak at Dartmouth Friday

Columbia will wrap up its regular season on Friday, Feb. 1 at Dartmouth
NEW YORK — The Columbia men's swimming and diving team will wrap up the regular season on Friday, Feb. 1, traveling to face off against Dartmouth at 5 p.m. ET at Karl Michael Pool in Hanover, New Hampshire.
Columbia enters Friday's meet with a 4-4 overall record, including a 2-4 mark in Ivy League duals.
The Lions will look to continue their win streak, having earned three-straight wins to open up the 2019 portion of the schedule. Columbia opened up the new year with a back-to-back Ivy League wins over Cornell and Brown before taking down visiting Navy, 161-137, on Jan. 25.
Against the Midshipmen, the Lions got out to an early lead in order to secure the team victory. Columbia combined for 11 event victories before swimming the final two events as exhibition entries, despite posting the fastest times in those as well.
SCOUTING DARTMOUTH
The Big Green are 2-4 in dual meets this season with an 0-4 mark in league outings. Dartmouth is coming off a 200-136 defeat of UMass on Jan. 26.
Last season, the Lions claimed a 162-134 defeat over Dartmouth on Feb. 3, 2018, at Percy Uris Natatorium.
ON DECK
Columbia will take a few weeks off before embarking on its postseason journey. The Lions will head to Providence, Rhode Island, Feb. 27-March 2 for the 2019 Ivy League Championships.
