Columbia Athletics Announces Partnership With Lyft

Lyft is Now the Official Rideshare Partner of the Columbia University Athletics Department.
NEW YORK—Columbia University Athletics and JMI Sports announced a partnership today, naming Lyft as the Official Rideshare Partner of the University's Athletics Department. Lyft, whose mission is to improve people's lives with the world's best transportation, will offer discounted rides to and from a variety of Lions athletics events taking place at Levien Gymnasium and Baker Athletics Complex.
New and existing users, including students, fans, parents, alumni and staff, can enter promo code LYFTLIONNYC into their Lyft app to claim their discounted ride.
"Columbia University has created a true community throughout New York City," General Manager of Lyft New York and New Jersey Ann Ferracane said. "We're excited to work with Columbia Athletics to provide a reliable commuting solution around campus."
"We are thrilled to be partnering with Lyft," Campbell Family Director of Intercollegiate Athletics & Physical Education Peter Pilling said. "We take great pride in aligning ourselves with such a top-notch organization such as Lyft."
In conjunction with JMI Sports, the Columbia Athletics corporate sponsorship program continues to grow its client base through multimedia platforms and collaboration opportunities with partners like Lyft. The sponsorship agreement includes signage in Levien Gymnasium and on Robert K. Kraft Field, social media campaigns, game program/yearbook and website advertisements as well as commercial inventory on all Columbia radio and television broadcasts.
