That nod gave her two accolades over the first month of her collegiate career with a visit to the Ivy League Honor Roll coming on the week before.
CHENG TRIPLES UP: In Columbia's home opener against Fordham, on Sept. 19, Cheng had herself a night, recording 47 assists, 13 kills and 12 digs on her way to her first career double-double and the first by a Lion since Paula Lobeck recorded a triple-double on Sept. 17, 2002. WHAT THE TIGERS BRING: Princeton enters Friday's match with Columbia having won its previous three matches, including taking its Ivy League opener against Penn in straight sets, at home on Sept. 27. All-time Princeton leads the series, 47-7, and this will be the 55th meeting all-time between the two programs. The Tigers have taken the previous three matches, with Columbia's last win coming on Morningside in 2017 and the last time that the Tigers went into Dillon Gym and won was in 2010.

The all-time record for the series is 44-9 with Penn owning the advantage heading into what will be the 54th meeting all-time, but the Lions did take the previous match, 3-1, on Morningside to collect a win on Senior Day. The last time the Lions went into The Palestra and won was a 3-1 victory in 2016.
Carmina Raquel has been a defensive force for the Quakers, leading the team and the Ivy League in total digs (197) and her 4.80 digs per set ranks her 39th in the country.
