NEW YORK — The No. 12 Columbia men's tennis team picked up a 6-1 victory over St. John's on Sunday afternoon at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center to improve to 3-0 on the season. The Red Storm fall to 4-2 overall.

The Lions swept all three doubles courts before rattling off five straight singles wins to secure their third-straight win.

Switching up the doubles pairings from the first two matches of the season,
Rian Pandole and
Victor Pham combined at No. 3 doubles to blank the Red Storm, 6-0. The Lions' top-court tandem of
Jack Lin and
Jackie Tang followed suit, earning a 6-0 victory of their own. At No. 2 doubles,
Adam Ambrozy and
William Matheson teamed up for a 6-2 triumph.

The defending Ivy League Player of the Year, No. 54 Pham increased the Lions' lead to 2-0 with a quick 6-1, 6-1 win on the top singles court. Senior
Timothy Wang tacked on another point to the team total with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 6 singles.

The match was clinched as No. 44 Tang took down St. John's Dusan Vukicevic, 6-3, 6-1 on court four.

Adding to Columbia's win, No. 11 Lin took a 6-3, 6-1 win on court two, and sophomore
Austen Huang earned a three-set win against Aditya Vashistha on court five.

St. John's registered its lone point of the match as Ambrozy fell to Alan Nunez Aguilera, 7-5, 6-7 (2), 6-2.

The Lions will return to action next weekend, traveling to Chicago for the ITA Indoor Team Championship. The schedule and bracket are set to be released on Wednesday.
