PRINCETON, N.J.—Ten Columbia University student-athletes were named to the 2019 Spring Academic All-Ivy League Team, league officials announced on Thursday.
Earning Spring Academic All-Ivy League honors for Columbia were
Jack Lin (men's tennis),
Victor Pham (men's tennis),
Alek Sauer (men's outdoor track and field),
Timothy Wang (men's tennis),
Brian Zabilski (men's outdoor track and field),
Lindsey Ewertsen (women's lacrosse),
Allie Hays (women's outdoor track and field),
Jennifer Kerr (women's tennis),
Christine Kim (archery) and
Maria Pagane (softball).
Sauer earned the honor for the fifth time in his career, while Ewertsen, Pham and Zabilski earn the honor for the second time. Men's tennis had three honorees, while men's outdoor track and field had two.
In order to be eligible for the Academic All-Ivy League squad, a student-athlete must have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key reserve on his or her team. The conference announces 10 Academic All-Ivy League selections (five men and five women) from each school after each of its three athletic seasons.
