Training Camp Practice Schedule Announced

Columbia Football to report for camp on Thursday, Aug. 22; administrative day scheduled for Friday, Aug. 23; first day of practice slated for Saturday, Aug. 24.
NEW YORK— Patricia and Shepard Alexander Head Coach of Football Al Bagnoli and Columbia Football announced its 2019 preseason training camp practice schedule on Monday morning. All training camp practice times are listed below.
Columbia players report to campus for move-in day on Thursday, August 22. Following an administrative day on Friday, August 23, practice begins on Saturday, August 24 (3:30 p.m.-6 p.m.). A complete training camp practice schedule is listed below. All practices take place at Robert K. Kraft Field at Lawrence A. Wien Stadium and are open to the public.
Columbia is also scheduled to host a preseason scrimmage against NCAA Division III Montclair State on Friday, August 30 at Robert K. Kraft Field at Lawrence A. Wien Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. The Lions are set to practice only six times before their preseason scrimmage. The Lions are hosting Montclair State in a preseason scrimmage for the third straight season.
Columbia officially opens its 2019 season on the road on Saturday, Sept. 21 in Loretto, Pa. at Saint Francis (Pa.). The Lions' home opener is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28 vs. Georgetown (1 p.m.) in the annual Lou Little Cup.

Columbia returns 15 of 22 starters (eight on offense and seven on defense) and a host of additional players who saw extensive action during the 2018 season. As a whole, the Lions return 61 total letterwinners.
