Lions Advance to Title Matches in All 12 Brackets

Lions accumulate 36-5 overall record over first two days of Columbia Invitational; Day three competition begins at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
NEW YORK—Fourteen Columbia singles and doubles teams advanced to championship matches in 12 brackets Saturday during day two of the 2019 Columbia Invitational which began Friday at Columbia's Dick Savitt Tennis Center. Day two begins on Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.
Columbia is represented by at least one player in the championship match in all 12 brackets. In two brackets, Lions will play a teammate for the title. Overall on the weekend, Columbia has compiled a 36-5 overall record after finishing 16-4 on Saturday. During Friday, Columbia claimed 20 of 21 matches.
Columbia is hosting seven teams this weekend—Colgate, Fordham, Harvard, Hofstra, LIU, NJIT, and St. John's—with competition running Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All matches are taking place at Dick Savitt Tennis Center, located at Columbia's Baker Athletic Complex (corner of 218th and Broadway Avenue, 575 West 218th Street, New York, NY 10334).
