NEW YORK — The No. 19 Columbia men's tennis team will begin its spring schedule this weekend, traveling to Atlanta for Georgia Tech's MLK Invitational, Jan. 18-20. In addition to the host Yellow Jackets, the Lions will compete against No. 13 Illinois and 16 South Carolina in the three-day round robin style event.
Fans can watch the matches live via YouTube, while live scoring is available here.
The Lions will kick off the weekend against the 16th-ranked Gamecocks at 9 a.m. ET on Saturday, before squaring off against Georgia Tech not before 1 p.m. on Sunday and finishing up the tournament with No. 13 Illinois on Monday at 9 a.m.
Scores from the event will not count towards the teams' 2020 dual match record, but individual scores will count towards rankings.
Columbia's No. 6 Jack Lin enters the weekend as the highest ranked individual player in the tournament, while Lin and senior Jackie Tang form the third-ranked duo in the nation and also the highest-ranked pair in the MLK event.
