NEW YORK—Coming off its 2020 ECAC Indoor Championship, the Columbia Women's Tennis Team gets back into action with three matches this week as it hosts Fairfield on Wednesday (4 p.m.), travels to Syracuse for a Friday 3 p.m. matchup, then hosts Washington State on Sunday (1 p.m.) at Dick Savitt Tennis Center.
Currently riding a four-match win streak, Columbia enters its week with a 6-2 overall record. The Lions are coming off three straight victories in the ECAC Championship from Feb. 7-9 which included victories over Brown (4-0), Harvard (4-1) and Yale (4-3) on consecutive days.

Akanksha Bhan (15-7), first-year
Michelle Xu (15-4), first-year
Julia Haynes (14-3), junior
Jennifer Kerr (14-4) and first-year
Shivani Amineni (14-4). In doubles, the Lions are led by Bhan and junior
Paulina Ferrari (11-6) and Kerr and Amineni (8-2).
Fairfield (2-3) enters the weekend after dropping back-to-back matches. The Stags won last year's 2019 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference title and advanced to the NCAA Division I Tournament. Syracuse is 6-0 and features No. 76 ranked Guzai Yusupova in singles. Washington State (3-1) plays at Fresno State on Thursday before traveling to New York City.
