Lions to Compete at Western Invitational

Columbia to fence eight total dual matches against the likes of Stanford, North Carolina, Incarnate Word, Air Force, UC-San Diego, Northwestern (women), Brandeis, and NJIT.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Columbia Fencing will compete in its first dual matches of the year when it participates at the 2021 Western Invitational this Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 13-14, at the Air Force Academy. Columbia is scheduled to fence eight team dual matches at the Academy Indoor Intercollegiate Tennis Courts, located inside Air Force's Cadet Gymnasium.
On Saturday, Columbia will take on Stanford (9:15 a.m. MT), North Carolina, Incarnate Word, Air Force, UC San Diego, and Northwestern (Women). On Sunday, the Lions take on Brandeis (9 a.m. MT) and NJIT. See schedule below for order of events and bout times. Air Force has arranged for streaming of the action at this link.
Ten schools will compete in the event including Air Force, Brandeis, Columbia, Incarnate Word (UIW), NJIT, North Carolina, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Stanford and UC San Diego. Columbia will not compete against Notre Dame.
Full results will be posted on Sunday following competition.
Columbia is coming off a successful Max Garret Open in which it won nine medals.
