NEW YORK—Patricia and Shepard Alexander Head Coach of Football Al Bagnoli officially announced its 2021 Columbia Football signing class on Thursday morning.

"Our coaching staff has done a tremendous job of putting this recruiting class together considering our restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic," said Bagnoli, who begins his seventh year at Columbia in August 2021. "We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to work with these young men and include them into the mix with the players that we're bringing back to the team."

Columbia's Football Class of 2025 consists of 15 All-State honorees, 21 student-athletes who guided their high school teams to either a state title or state finals appearance, 24 who led their teams to a state playoff appearance, 14 team captains, 25 multi-sport athletes, 26 players who earned all-conference and all-district honors and 13 four-year high school football letterwinners. Two of athletes plan to compete in multiple sports at Columbia.

On offense, the Lions added one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, three tight ends, and seven offensive linemen. On defense, Columbia added three defensive linemen, three linebackers, and five defensive backs. The Lions added one specialist.

In addition, the Class of 2025 is comprised of student-athletes from 15 different states including five players from Texas, four from New Jersey, three from California, and two each from North Carolina, Virginia, Louisiana, and Massachusetts. The Lions also added one player each from Georgia, Indiana, Washington, Michigan, Arizona, Illinois, Florida, and Maryland.
