NEW YORK — No. 6 Columbia men's squash fell to No. 1 Penn, 8-1, on Saturday at the SL Green StreetSquash Center.
Senior
James Wyatt picked up Columbia's (7-5, 1-4 Ivy) lone point. Wyatt defeated Nicholas Spizzirri in four games, 11-5, 7-11, 11-8, 12-10. In doing so, the London native picked up his second consecutive dual victory and improved to 6-4 on the season.
Penn (14-0, 4-0 Ivy) remained undefeated on the season. The CSA's top ranked team won five of their points in three-game matches. Columbia's
Velavan Senthilkumar gave Andrew Douglas a run in the top match of the evening, but would succumb in five, 4-11, 11-7, 13-11, 5-11, 11-6.
The Lions will move on and get ready for No. 5 Princeton (5-3, 2-2 Ivy) on Sunday. The match on Princeton's campus is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
