PRINCETON, N.J. – Columbia volleyball (4-10, 1-4) capped off the weekend with a match against the Princeton Tigers (13-1, 5-0) on Saturday evening. The Lions fell to the Tigers in straight sets.
Columbia held an 11-9 lead in the first set, gaining kills from
Eva Atkins,
Kiara Robichaud,
Saj McBurrows, and
Aidan Conner. Princeton then scored five unanswered points to go up by three. From there, the Tigers outscored the Lions 11-3, taking the set 25-14.
After falling down 2-0, Princeton used multiple significant runs in the second set to create a comfortable margin. Leading 19-11, the Tigers scored the final six points of the set.
Princeton poured it on in the third set, building a 12-2 lead. The momentum carried until the final point. The Tigers won 25-15.
