WHAT TO KNOW:

REDEMPTION
• The Lions will be looking to redeem themselves, both from Sunday's loss to Vanderbilt, 74-63, and from last season's loss to the Pirates, 78-75, that ended their historic season in the WNIT Quarterfinals. Columbia took a 75-74 lead in the final 35 seconds, but Seton Hall got to the foul line on back-to-back possessions, ending the game 20-for-20 at the charity stripe, to slip away. Lauren Park-Lane scored a game-high 29 points for the Pirates. Columbia had four in double figures, led by 18 from Kitty Henderson. SHU went on to advance to the WNIT Championship Game, where it fell to South Dakota State.

SUCCESS AGAINST THE POWER CONFERENCES
• With wins over Clemson, Georgetown and Boston College last season, Columbia is 7-9 in its last 16 games against power-conference opponents (ACC, Big 10, Big 12, Big East, SEC, Pac 12). The 16-game span began in 2016 with an overtime win at home over Providence. The Lions then opened the 2017-18 season by defeating the Friars on the road, 73-64. The Lions earned their first ACC win in the 2017-18 season as well, when they defeated Boston College, 68-60, in front of a record 2,372 fans on Education Day. In 2019-20, they added to the tally with a 54-49 victory on Education Day over Georgetown (Dec. 6).

• In the Megan Griffith head-coaching era, Columbia is 4-1 against the Big East. Before Griffith became the head coach, the Lions were 0-8 all-time against the conference.

ALL-AMERICAN COMPANY
• Junior guard Abbey Hsu ranks No. 3 among active Div. I players in 3-pointers made per game (2.90), trailing only highly decorated All-Americans Taylor Robertson of Oklahoma (3.74) and Caitlin Clark of Iowa (3.32). Hsu is coming off a year in which she set the Ivy League record for 3-pointers made in a season, knocking down 108 to surpass the previous mark of 99 set by Harvard's Katie Benzan during the 2017-18 campaign. Hsu ended the year ranking top-five in the NCAA in makes (108), attempts (288) and makes per game (3.38).

THURSDAY'S OPPONENT
• Seton Hall enters the game 2-1 on the season, suffering its first loss of the season on Monday against Princeton, 62-58. Senior Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) had a season-high 25 points.

• The Pirates out-shot Princeton by a large margin, 42.6% to only 29.6%, but The Hall committed 21 turnovers and was beaten on the glass, particularly down the stretch.  The Tigers grabbed three offensive rebounds in the final minute as the Pirates were trying to rally.

• The Pirates are coming off a 24-13, 12-8 Big East campaign from a year ago that ended in a run to the WNIT Championship Game. They defeated FDU, VCU, Drexel, Columbia and Middle Tennessee State before falling to South Dakota State, 82-50, in the title game.
