NEW YORK -- The Columbia women's swim and dive team sits in fifth after the first day of the 2022 Ivy League Swim and Dive Championships. Hosted on the campus of Harvard University, the Championships will run through February 19.
Tonight, Columbia competed in the 200 medley relay as well as the 800 free relay. The Lions' team of
Mary Pruden,
Allegra Walker,
Emily Wang, and
Isabelle Arevalo swam for sixth in the opening 200 relay with a time of 1:42.05. In the following event, Columbia's
Aziza Ganihanova,
Olivia Jubin,
Allison Martin, and
Callie Breiter improved to a fifth place finish in 7:16.55, besting their seed time by nearly four seconds.
The Lions sit tied with the Brown Bears in fifth place after amassing 98 points each. Hosting Harvard leads with 118 points thus far.
Competition resumes tomorrow at the 11:00 A.M. preliminary round. Finals are schedule for 6:00 P.M.. Live stats can be found through
