No. 4 Lions meet No. 5 Yale in quarterfinals Friday
NEW YORK — The Columbia women's squash team (7-4) will compete in the top draw at the College Squash Association National Collegiate Women's Team Championships this Friday-Sunday. The fourth-seeded Lions will begin their journey against No. 5 Yale (6-4) on Friday. The National Championships are hosted by Harvard at the Murr Center in Boston.

THE HOWE CUP
Columbia is one of eight teams in the Howe Cup Draw, which are the eight teams competing for the CSA Women's Team National Championship. The Lions earned the No. 4 seed by virtue of their CSA National Ranking. Their quarterfinal matchup against No. 5 Yale will mark the third time the two programs have gone head-to-head at CSA Nationals. Yale has won the last two such occasions.
REGULAR SEASON WRAP-UP
Columbia went 7-4 in the regular season with a 4-2 Ivy League record. Columbia's .667 Ivy League winning percentage marked its best Ivy season in program history. The Lions were victorious over Yale, 6-3, Cornell, 5-4, Dartmouth, 8-1, and Penn, 7-2. Their two losses came to Princeton, 5-4, and No. 1 Harvard, 8-1.
ALL-IVY STANDOUTS
A program-record three Lions were named to the 2022 All-Ivy League Team this season – Habiba Mohamed, Farida Mohamed and Simmi Chan. Farida Mohamed was named the first Ivy League Rookie of the Year in program history. The trio combined to go 25-2 this season with all of their matches coming in the top three spots in the lineup.
