Taylor Zeng, the Columbia Women's Golf Team concluded the three-day 2022 Ivy League Women's Golf Championship in second place Sunday at The Ridge at Back Brook. Columbia finished at 31-over-par 296-294-305-895, three strokes behind first-place Princeton (+28, 300-292-300-892). Final stats are available on Golfstat at

It was a historical three-day performance for Columbia as the Lions set school records for best 54-hole score (895) and low 54-hole score vs. par (+31) in Ivy League Championship play. The 895 score ranks tied for the third best 54-hole score in school history. Wang and Zeng became the second duo in school history to both place among the top-5 at an Ivy League Women's Championship. Sara Ovadia and Stevy Loy finished 1-2 in the 2007 Ivy League Championship. Wang matched her 2019 Ivy League Championship finish of second place.
Columbia led through Friday's first round and Saturday's second round.
Wang concluded the weekend with a five-over-par 76-69-76-221. Her 221 ranks as the third-lowest 54-hole score in school history. She becomes the first player in school history to have two top-2 finishes in the Ivy League Championship. After tying a school-record for lowest round score and lowest round versus par (-3) in an Ivy League Championship and tying a career low with a 69 on Saturday, Wang moved up 11 spots in the standings and entered Sunday's final round in second place. She caught fire on the back nine as she registered three consecutive birdies on holes 11, 12, and 13, and finished off the round with an eagle on 18. On Sunday, Wang carded one birdie to maintain her second place standing.
The 2019 Ivy League runner-up and All-Ivy League First Team selection led the tournament in par-4 scoring (4.04), finished with 35 pars, and six birdies.
Zeng finished the weekend with a six-over-par 72-76-74-222. She led the entire tournament in birdies with 10. Her best round came on Friday when she used two birdies on holes 3 and 11 to shoot an Even 72. On Sunday, she started the final round with four birdies on the front nine and concluded with five birdies.
Wang and Zeng will earn First Team All-Ivy League honors. Wang becomes the fourth player in school history to earn two First Team All-Ivy League honors.
Sophomore
Allison Paik ended the tournament tied for 10
th place at nine-over-par 74-74-77-225. She finished the tourney with the second-most birdies in the field with nine and made her move up the leaderboard on Saturday with a 74 fueled by birdies on holes 9, 10, and 18. On Sunday, she carded three birdies.
First-year
Paige Harrison and senior
Alexis Florio both finished at 16-over-par in 20
th place. Harrison carded a 79-75-78-232, while Florio finished at 74-78-80-232. Florio registered a team-high 36 pars.
Columbia's 294 on Saturday tied a school-record for lowest team score at the Ivy League Championship. Columbia built its lead after combining for a 296 on Friday, which represents the school's best first round score at the Ivy League Championships and marks the second-lowest round ever recorded by a Lions squad in its championship history. In 2008, Columbia shot a 294 in round 2.
As a team, Columbia led the tournament in par 4 scoring (4.25) and par 5 scoring (4.91).
The Ridge at Back Brook plays to a par 72 with a yardage of 6,173 for the three-day, 54-hole event.
