All Three Rowing Teams in Action This Weekend

Columbia Women to compete at Eastern Sprints on Sunday; Heavyweights to take on Rutgers on Saturday and Navy, Hobart and George Washington on Sunday; Lightweights to compete against Delaware and Cornell.
LEONIA, N.J./WORCESTER, Mass./WEST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, N.J.—All three Columbia rowing teams are in action this weekend at various venues on the East Coast. On Saturday at Overpeck Park, Columbia will host a Lightweight matchup against Delaware and Heavyweight races between the Lions and Rutgers for the Collins Cup. Columbia's Lightweights will host Cornell in the Geiger Cup on Sunday.
The Lion Heavyweights enter the week ranked No. 17 in the IRCA national poll, while the Lightweights are ranked No. 6.
Columbia's Heavyweights will host Rutgers in the Collins Cup at Overpeck Park on Saturday. The Lions then travel Mercer County, N.J. for the Stevenson Cup against No. 13 Navy, Hobart, and George Washington.
Columbia's Lightweights will host a pair of head-to-head matchups against Delaware (Saturday, April 30) and the Geiger Cup versus No. 2 ranked Cornell and Iona (Sunday, May 1).
Columbia's Women's Rowing team will compete at the Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Mass. on Sunday. The event marks the final tuneup until the Ivy League Championships on Sunday, May 15. Held on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester. A variety of East Coast teams will compete at the event including Boston College, Boston U., Brown, Colgate, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Drexel, Georgetown, Marist, Northeatern, Radcliffe, Rutgers, Temple, UMass, and Rhode Island.
