#22 Kotzen Concludes Sophomore Campaign at NCAA Championships

#22 Alex Kotzen falls in the first round of the NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Championship.
Champaign, Illinois -- Columbia men's tennis sophomore standout, #22 Alex Kotzen, wrapped his 2022 campaign in the first round of the NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Championship hosted by the University of Illinois. Kotzen, the Ivy League's automatic bid winner, fell to #16 Juan Carlos Aguilar of Texas Christian University 3-6, 6-7.
Kotzen led the Ivy League this season, ranking as high as #7 nationally. His greatest victory came on February, 14 in a three-set victory over #3 Adam Walton then second-ranked Tennessee.
Next season, Alex will be joined by his brother, Nick, on the Columbia men's tennis team.
