BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Eight Columbia Track & Field student-athletes competed at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East Prelims from May 25-28, with
Phoebe Anderson finishing 20th in the 5,000m and
Michael Danzi posting a 30th place finish in the 1,500m to lead Columbia over the four days at Haugh Track & Field Complex.

Anderson finished with a time of 16:12.42, placing 20th overall and 10th in her heat. The 20th place finish was the top finishing spot for Columbia over the four-day event that ran from Wednesday, May 25 to Saturday, May 28.

Danzi finished 30th in the 1,500m for the Columbia men's top finish, clocking a time of 3:48.61 finishing just one spot, sixth, off qualifying out of his heat for the preliminary semifinals.Â

Nikki Vanasse finished 31st with a time of 4:20.11 in the 1,500m and
Kali Hatcher posted a mark of 12.39m to finish 32nd in the triple jump. In the men's 800m
Justin O'Toole clocked a 46th place time of 1:58.69,
David Vorbach finished 38th in the 5,000m (14:12.57) and with a time of 30:36.03
Tyler Berg finished 38th in the 10,000m.
