NEW YORK — The Columbia women's tennis recorded ten wins ove Ivy League rival Cornell on the second day of the Lion Quad. Hosted by Columbia, the event was held at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center on Friday and Saturday.
Over the two days, head coach
Ilene Weintraub's Lions were victorious in 21 of 22 matches. Each Columbia win came in straight set fashion.
Playing from the top spot,
Anna Zhang defeated Cornell's Lan Mi 6-3, 6-4.
Columbia will compete next weekend at the Cissie Leary Tournament in Philadelphia. Hosted by the University of Pennsylvania, the event runs from Sept. 23-Sept. 25.
