NEW YORK — Seven programs compete across nine different events in this week's edition of "Lions on the Road".

MEN'S TENNIS
Men's tennis will be competing in the ITA Kickoff Weekend as they travel back to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, for the second time this month. The No. 21 Lions will face No. 13 Harvard on Saturday at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Columbia will then meet either Oklahoma State or North Carolina on Sunday.

MEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING
The Lions' penultimate meet of the regular season will be on Saturday, when they will face off against Cornell on the road at 11 a.m. The 5-2 men's swimming & diving team is coming off a close loss against a non-conference foe in Navy, despite losing four races by less than a second, and many other good performances.
Jonathan Suckow,
Adam Wu, and
Kyle Won each won two events in the competition, and
Seungjoon Ahn also picked up a victory in the 200-fly. Following Saturday's meet, the Lions will finish off the regular season with a meet against Dartmouth on Saturday, February 4.

WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING
Columbia women's swimming and diving will finish off its regular season on Saturday, with a meet against Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire, beginning at noon. Last time out, the Lions took on the Princeton Tigers, but came up just short in a hard-fought competition. Columbia earned sweeps in the 100-breast and 200-IM, led by
Ashley Hu and
Allegra Walker, respectively. The Lions will use this meet against Dartmouth as one last chance to prepare for the Ivy League Championships, which will begin on Wednesday, February 15.

WOMEN'S TENNIS
Women's tennis heads across the country this weekend to compete in the ITA Kickoff Weekend hosted by Pepperdine in Malibu, California. Columbia joins Princeton as one of only two Ivy League teams competing in the ITA Kickoff Weekend. The top 60 teams in women's tennis were invited to the event based on last season's finish. The Lions will take on Memphis on Saturday at 1 p.m. PT. Based on the result of the match, Columbia will play Pepperdine or Clemson on Sunday.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Columbia continues a season-long five-game road trip on Saturday when it travels to Hanover, New Hampshire, to face Dartmouth. Tip-off from Leede Arena is set for 2 p.m. and can be watched on ESPN+. Columbia enters its matchup with the Big Green at 6-15 (1-5) and will look to snap a five-game losing streak.

ARCHERY
The archery team begins its season on Saturday at the Lancaster Youth & Collegiate Trophy Tournament in Mannheim, Pennsylvania. The Lions are captained this season by seniors
Nidhi Kanchumarthi and
Zoe Meshel, and sophomore
Judith Gottlieb. Columba enters the year fresh off a runner-up finish at the 2022 USA Archery Collegiate Archery Nationals in the recurve division. Gottlieb was crucial to the Lions success, shooting for the recurve squad with teammates
Dorothy Vassantachart and
Meghan Collins. Senior
Sachiko Keane is a returning All-American, who was the 2022 Collegiate Compound Indoor National Champion for the nationally recognized Lions.

FENCING
The Lions will compete in its final tune-up before the Ivy League Round Robins this weekend when they make the short trip to Brooklyn for the Shark Showcase. Columbia has five dual matches on the slate beginning with Yale at 11:15 a.m. and finishing against St. John's at 4:45 p.m. Last weekend, both teams went 4-1 at the St. John's Super Cup and the women posted a perfect 5-0 the following day at the Philly Invitational.
