
Columbia Holds 1-Shot Lead at Autumn Invitational

Han (-6) sits second after rounds of 71 and 65
LAKE PLACID, N.Y. — Columbia men's golf hosted the first two rounds of the Columbia Autumn Invitational on Saturday at Lake Placid Club and leads the field by one shot. The Lions are at 2-under-par for the tournament, just in front of second-place Dartmouth.
Columbia was third after posting a 2-over-par 286 in the first round. They jumped both Bryant and Sacred Heart to go from third to first after a second-round 4-under 280. The Lions and Big Green are the only two teams under par in the 10-team field. Dartmouth is 10 shots clear of third-place Bryant (+9).
Leading the way for Columbia is senior Nathan Han. The 2022-23 All-America Honorable Mention started with an even-par 71 in the morning round and followed it up with a 6-under 65 in the afternoon. Han carded seven birdies in his second round, including six on the back to play it in 5-under 31. He is two shots behind 36-hole leader Marcus Lim (-8) of Sacred Heart and two shots clear of Dartmouth's Alex Gu (-4) in third.
Junior William Sung (+2) and sophomore George Rubelsky (+4) are in the top 20. Both Lions posted a 1-under 70 on the day – Sung in the first round and Rubelsky in the second. Rubelsky's 70 was a collegiate-low score. DJ Francey and Hunter Po (+6) are in a tie for 26th, while Wyatt McGovern (+7) and Darren Pang (+8) are just outside the top 30. There are 63 players in the field overall.
Sunday's third and final round of the tournament is scheduled for a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. ET. Fans can follow live scoring on Golf Genius.
