Alex Hedge '19CC Named to Team USA at Pan American Games

Hedge recently represented the United States at the 2023 World Rowing Championships
NEW YORK — Columbia rowing alumnus Alex Hedge '19CC will represent the United States at the upcoming 2023 Pan American Games on October 21-25 at Laguna Grande in Santiago, Chile.
Hedge recently raced at the 2023 World Rowing Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. The Morristown, New Jersey native was part of the men's eight in Serbia and will be racing in three events in Chile – the men's pair, men's eight, and mixed eight.
At the 2023 World Rowing Championships, Hedge finished sixth in the eight. At the 2023 Pan American Games Qualification Regatta, he won gold in the pair and finished fourth in the four. Hedge was a first time senior team member for the 2023 World Rowing Championships last month.
At Columbia, Hedge rowed at the stroke positions for the Varsity Eight in the EARC Sprints and IRA National Championships his senior year. He rowed with the Varsity Eight for three years as a Lion and was a member of the 2016 IRA All-Academic Team.
