Women's Swimming and Diving Returns Home to Face Harvard

Meet will begin at 11::00 a.m. at Uris Natatorium
NEW YORK — The Columbia women's swimming and diving team returns home to Uris Natatorium on Friday morning to host the Harvard Crimson. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
LAST TIME OUT
Last Friday, the Lions traveled to New Haven to take on Yale. The Bulldogs earned the victory at Kiphuth Exhibition Pool, defeating Columbia 201-99 to improve to 2-0 on the season. Columbia falls to 1-1 on the year.
Emily MacDonald continued her dominance in the sprinting events, winning both the 50-free and 100-free with times of 23.54 and 50.82, respectively.
Aziza Ganihanova won the 200-back once again, clocking in with a time of 2:01.28.
As for the divers, Alice Diakova shined in the 1m, finishing second with a score of 295.43, which was her best score so far this season and her second straight zone qualifying score.
SCOUTING HARVARD
Harvard comes into Friday's meet with a 2-1 record in the Ivy League, owning wins over Brown and Dartmouth, but losing to Cornell. This will be the Crimson's first road meet of the season.
Last season, Harvard went 6-2 overall with a 5-2 Ivy League record. The Crimson and the Lions faced off on November 18 last year, with Harvard coming out on top 191-106. The Crimson went on to finish in second place at the Ivy League Championships in February behind Princeton.
The Crimson enter Friday's meet having won 36 of the 37 all-time meetings. Harvard has won eight straight in the series.
ON DECK
Columbia will take a break from dual meets, and head to East Meadow to participate in the ECAC Winter Championships which will begin on December 1.
