Maya Walker Named NFHCA All-Mideast Region Second Team

Lions defender appeared in 15 games this season
GENEVA, N.Y. – For the third year in a row, Columbia field hockey's Maya Walker has been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Mideast Region Second Team.
Walker, who hails from Greenwich, Connecticut, was tied for the team lead with 16 shots on goal. The senior also tallied three assists on the season and was named All-Ivy League Second Team for the third straight season.
The NFHCA Division I All-Region team announcement is the first in a list of postseason awards to come from the NFHCA over the next several weeks. Next to be announced are the NFHCA Regional Players of the Year on December 7, followed by the NFHCA All-American teams on December 12 and the NFHCA National Player of the Year on December 15.
