No. 1 Lightweight Rowing Defeats Cornell For Geiger Cup

Lions take first varsity eight race by three seconds
ITHACA, N.Y. — Columbia lightweight rowing earned a three-second victory over No. 2 Cornell for the Geiger Cup on Sunday at Cayuga Inlet.
With the win, the lightweight first varsity eight has won three cups over the last three weeks. The Lions fell in the second and third varsity eight races.
"Varsity put together a solid race against a strong Cornell crew that pushed us hard," head coach Nich Lee Parker said.
