WEST WINDSOR, N.J. — Columbia heavyweight rowing raced two boats on day two of the 120th annual Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships at Mercer Lake.
The Lions' 1V8 boat raced in Semi-Final 3 on Saturday and finished in second place behind Navy. Columbia edged out Drexel by .62 seconds for the second spot. The Lions finished with a time of 6:27.11. Columbia's 2V8 finished in fifth place with a time of 6:42.01 in Semi-Final 4.
Columbia is back in action on Sunday as the IRA Championships conclude. The 2V8 boat will race at 8:16 a.m. in Final 4 and the 1V8 boat will race at 8:48 a.m. in Final 3.
