Sydney Sullenberger Wins National Championship At 2023 USA Archery JOAD Target Nationals

The rising sophomore is now a world and national champion
DES MOINES, Iowa – Following a gold medal performance at the World Youth Championships earlier this month, Columbia University archer Sydney Sullenberger posted a first-place finish in the U21 compound women's qualifiers and took home the gold medal in the U21 compound women's elimination round at 2023 USA Archery JOAD Target Nationals.
Sullenberger earned a 1376 total score in the U21 compound women's qualifiers as she finished five points ahead of the second-place finisher to win the national championship.
In the elimination round, Sullenberger posted a total score of 147 to take the gold medal and cap off a successful showing at the event.
The Lions will continue to experience international competition later this summer when Sachiko Keane and Judith Gottlieb compete for Team USA and head coach Derek Davis will serve as a coach at the World University Games from July 27-August 1 in Chengdu, China.
