Archery Hires Sydney Sullenberger ‘26CC

Three-time USA Archery Collegiate All-American joins staff as assistant coach
NEW YORK — Columbia archery has announced the hire of alumna Sydney Sullenberger '26CC as the program's assistant coach.
In her role, Sullenberger supports archery coaching, athlete development, and daily program management. Her duties include team technique instruction, competition preparation, and coordinating athlete development strategies.
"Sydney will be a great addition to the program," head coach Derek Davis said. "Her passion for the sport and love for the team and Columbia are invaluable."
Outside of her accomplishments as a student-athlete at Columbia, Sullenberger has been a committee member for USA Archery since October of 2024. Part of her experience from that role is collaborating with fellow members to achieve consensus on key policy decisions, advocating for diversity and inclusion within USA Archery, and developing strategic initiatives for athlete development.
Sullenberger enjoyed a decorated collegiate career at Columbia (2022-26). She is a three-time USA Archery Collegiate All-American (2023, 2025, 2026), three-time All-East Region Team honoree (2023, 2025, 2026), and two-time USA Archery Academic All-American (2025, 2026). Sullenberger helped guide Columbia to numerous top finishes at USA Archery Collegiate Target Nationals and Regionals, including gold-medal performances in the Women's Team Compound and Mixed Team competitions.
On the national and international stage, Sullenberger represented Team USA as a member of the United States Archery Team, winning gold at the 2023 World Youth Championships, gold at the 2023 USA Archery National Championships, and silver at the 2025 FISU World University Games. She was also named the 2024 World Archery Americas U21 Archer of the Year.
Sullenberger earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a special concentration in Public Health from Columbia University in May 2026.
