The Lions open the season on November 3 against Penn at Uris
NEW YORK — The Columbia women's swimming & diving program announced its 2023-24 schedule on Friday afternoon, with the season set to get underway on Friday, November 3 at Uris Natatorium with a meet against Penn.
The Lions will look to build upon an incredibly successful 2022-23 campaign, which saw them place first in the ECAC Winter Championships, third in the ECAC Championships, and fifth at the Ivy League Championships which included a gold medal from '23CC Karen Liu.
After opening the season against Penn, a week later the Lions will take their first road trip of the season to face off against Yale. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. in New Haven on November 10.
Columbia will return to New York City on November 17 for a meet against Harvard to wrap up the first half of the regular season.
In the first championship-style meet of the season, the Lions will look to defend their title at the ECAC Winter Championships, which will be hosted by Baruch College this year in East Meadow, New York. The competition will take place from December 1-3.
After a brief hiatus during the holiday season, Columbia will return to the pool on January 13 for a meet against Brown in Rhode Island.
The Lions' final home meet of the season will be a day later on Sunday, January 14 at 1 p.m.
Columbia will close the regular season with a two-meet road trip, traveling to take on Princeton and Dartmouth in consecutive weekends on January 19 and January 27.
This year's Ivy League Championships will be hosted by Brown and take place from February 21-24. ECAC Championships will overlap, running from February 23-25 in Annapolis, Maryland.
The 2024 Zone Diving Championships will be a familiar venue, taking place in New Jersey hosted by Princeton from March 11-16. For any Lions that qualify, the NCAA Championships will be held in Athens, Georgia and will begin on March 20.
