STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Competing individually at the University of Washington Preview Meet on Saturday afternoon,
Justin O'Toole made Columbia history in the 1,000m.
O'Toole finished in fifth place in the event, clocking in with a time of 2:20.66. This time set a new Columbia record in the event, beating the mark of 2:20.77 set by Jeff Moriarty back in 2011. O'Toole's time was also good for the second fastest time in the history of the Ivy League.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Lions competed at the Penn 10-Team Select Meet on Saturday afternoon at Ocean Breeze in Staten Island.
