Katie Wimmer Tabbed Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week

Columbia's goalkeeper recorded 18 saves over the weekend
PRINCETON, N.J. — Columbia field hockey goalkeeper Katie Wimmer has been named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season, the conference announced on Monday.
Wimmer totaled 18 saves between two victories at Yale and Lehigh. The senior captain stopped nine shots in each win. Sunday's 2-0 defeat over Lehigh was Wimmer's sixth career shutout and fourth of the season.
Wimmer ranks fourth nationally in saves per game (8.3) and in save percentage (.823). Both marks lead the Ivy League. Wimmer's 116 saves on the season also lead the conference and fifth in the country.
The Lions close out the regular season on Sunday vs. Dartmouth at 10 a.m. for Senior Day.
