Katie Wimmer Named to 2024 NFHCA Collegiate Senior Team

Wimmer was the Lions’ first-ever Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year
MANAHAWKIN, N.J. — Columbia field hockey goalkeeper Katie Wimmer has been named to the 2024 NFHCA Collegiate Senior Team, the NFHCA announced on Thursday.
Wimmer was Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week five times this season. The senior captain ranked second nationally in save percentage (.824) and fourth in saves per game (8.1) at the conclusion of the regular season. Both marks led the Ivy League. Wimmer's 122 saves on the season also led the conference and ranked fifth in the country.
The Windham, New Hampshire native was an All-Ivy League First Team selection and was Columbia's Academic All-Ivy recipient. The Lions reached the Ivy League Tournament this season for the first time in program history.
