No. 10 Men’s Tennis Prepares for Dartmouth, No. 13 Harvard

The Lions celebrate Senior Day Sunday

NEW YORK – The 10th-ranked Columbia men's tennis team is back home this weekend at the Philip and Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center to host Dartmouth and No. 13 Harvard in a pair of Ivy League matches.

First serve against Dartmouth on Saturday is set for 1 p.m. The Lions will cap off the weekend with a highly anticipated rematch against Harvard on Sunday at 1 p.m.

CONTINUING THE IVY LEAGUE SLATE
Columbia continues its run through the Ivy League schedule after earning 4-0 wins over No. 30 Princeton and No. 55 Penn last weekend. The Lions improved to 16-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play with the wins. Hugo Hashimoto and Henry Ruger each picked up singles victories in both matches. On the doubles side, the duo of Theo Winegar and Michael Zheng earned two wins in the top doubles.

COLUMBIA IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Columbia continues to hold a spot in the Top 10, checking in at No. 10 in the new ITA rankings released earlier this week. The Lions achieved a No. 4 ranking on February 20, which is the best ranking in program history.

Michael Zheng and Alex Kotzen continue to be ranked in the ITA singles poll. Zheng currently holds the No. 21 spot, while Kotzen is ranked No. 87. On the doubles side, the duo of Theo Winegar and Zheng is ranked No. 14, while Nicolas Kotzen and Max Westphal check in at No. 57.

SCOUTING DARTMOUTH AND HARVARD
Dartmouth is 8-12 overall and 1-2 in Ivy League action after defeating Brown and losing to Yale last weekend. The Big Green opened the conference slate with a loss to Harvard.

Harvard is 17-5 overall and holds a perfect 3-0 mark in league play with wins against Yale, Brown and Dartmouth. The Crimson will travel to face Cornell on Saturday before making the trip to New York City on Sunday. Sunday's match will be a rematch after Harvard defeated Columbia, 4-2 in the first round of the ITA National Team Indoor Championships earlier this season.
