Women’s Tennis Falls at Harvard

Columbia returns home next weekend to wrap up the regular season
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The 43rd-ranked Columbia women's tennis team lost its road contest, 4-1, at No. 39 Harvard on Sunday afternoon. The Lions are now 15-5 overall with a 3-2 Ivy League record.
Columbia took the doubles point to earn the early lead in Sunday's match. The duo of Gayathri Krishnan and Sophia Strugnell defeated Rachel Arbitman and Kavya Karra, 6-3 in the No. 2 doubles. Fatima Keita and Rachele Rimondini secured a 6-4 victory over Natalie Block and Sany Gawande in the No. 3 spot.
Harvard secured four singles wins to earn the 4-1 victory over Columbia. Harvard's Holly Fischer clinched the victory with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 win over Anna Zhang in the top singles.
The Lions return home next weekend to host Yale and Brown in the final two regular season matches of the spring.
