COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Columbia University archers
Michelle Ahn,
Eunice Choi and
Lillian Han have all earned the 2024 USA Archery All-American Academic Team Award, as announced by USA Archery on Tuesday.
The All-American Academic Team is composed of archers in each division and class and based on the following criteria:
- Archer must be eligible to shoot in the 2024 Spring Semester (Full-Time Collegiate Student).
- Required cumulative GPA of 3.5 through fall term 2023.
USA Archery takes the top 25 percent (ranked by score) of each division and class from U.S. National Indoor Championships. Archers in the top 25 percent and who meet the minimum GPA will earn a spot on the team. Archers named to the team will receive a certificate from USA Archery commemorating their achievements.
Ahn, Choi and Han, who all shoot recurve, were three of 18 archers nationwide to land on the All-American Academic Team in Recurve Female.
The
Collegiate Archery Program gives archers a chance to compete nationwide with peers who also maintain a rigorous academic schedule. This esteemed award acknowledges not just excellence in archery, but also the diligence and dedication needed to manage a demanding practice and competition regimen while excelling academically.
The Lions are down in Statesboro, Georgia preparing for the 2024 USA Archery Collegiate Target Nationals, hosted by Georgia Southern University, which runs Thursday-Sunday at the Shooting Sports Education Center.
