Three Lions Named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars

Columbia earns GCAA Presidents Special Recognition
NORMAN, Okla. — DJ Francey, Nathan Han and Wyatt McGovern of the Columbia men's golf team have been named 2023-24 NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars. The honors are presented in conjunction with the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
A total of 535 NCAA Division I athletes representing 181 schools earned this year's honors. Han, Francey and McGovern were all recognized for the second year in a row.
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
Additionally, the Columbia men's golf team was one of 59 NCAA Division I teams from around the country to earn the Presidents Special Recognition. The accolade is awarded to teams that carry a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
