No. 6 Men’s Tennis Hosts Hofstra Friday, No. 21 NC State Sunday

Columbia continues its homestand with two matches this weekend
NEW YORK – The sixth-ranked Columbia men's tennis team returns to action this weekend at the Philip and Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center for matches against Hofstra and No. 21 NC State.
First serve against Hofstra is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday following the women's tennis doubleheader starting at 11 a.m. Any changes to Friday's start time will be posted on the men's tennis X account (@CULionsMTEN). Action against NC State on Sunday will begin at 2:30 p.m.

Action from the Milstein Family Tennis Center this weekend will be broadcast live through Columbia's stretch portal. Fans can also follow live scores online for both matches this weekend.
LAST TIME OUT
Columbia started the dual portion of its schedule last weekend with wins against Miami and No. 24 Florida. The two victories clinched Columbia's spot in the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in February for the second straight season.
The duos of Max Westphal and Sachin Palta and Hugo Hashimoto and Jayden Templeman secured doubles victories at the two and three doubles to start the match against Miami. Westphal, Hashimoto and Thanaphat Boosarawongse posted singles wins to finish off the 4-0 sweep of Miami.
Westphal and Palta earned another doubles victory against Florida on Sunday, while No. 75 Michael Zheng and Nicolas Kotzen downed the No. 16 pair of Henry Jefferson and Tanapatt Nirundorn in the top doubles match. No. 1 Zheng, Boosarawongse and No. 33 Hashimoto proceeded to earn singles victories in the 4-2 team win against Florida.
THE OPPONENTS
Hofstra enters the weekend with a 1-0 record after defeating Richmond last weekend in a neutral site match. The Pride captured the doubles point and Josh Reynolds, Noa Forste-Dinell and Matthew Garcia proceeded to secures singles victories for Hofstra's 4-2 team victory.
NC State sits at 4-1 overall with wins over Campbell, NC Central, LSU and No. 9 Mississippi State. The Wolfpack will play at No. 17 Michigan on Friday evening before travelling to New York for Sunday's matchup against Columbia. NC State rolled past ninth-ranked Mississippi State on Sunday to secure a spot in the ITA National Team Indoor Championships.
