Field Hockey Dominates Wagner in 4-0 Win on Sunday

Adams scored twice; J. Solari Etcheberry and Kaczor also found the back of the cage

NEW YORKColumbia field hockey shut out Wagner, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon from the Columbia Field Hockey Complex on Broach Foundation Match Day.

Jacinta Solari Etcheberry opened the scoring 9:35 into the match and Columbia (6-6, 1-4) never looked back. It was her team-leading sixth goal of the year and Sophia Abate recorded the assist.

The Lions went in front 3-0 after goals from Lizzie Adams and Izzy Kaczor in the second quarter. Jacinta Solari Etcheberry and Abate tallied assists on those goals, respectively.

Adams added an exclamation point with her second goal of the day with 6:48 remaining. Nicole Campolattaro picked up the assist.

Goalkeeper Margot Houle earned her second shutout of the season with a three-save performance against the Seahawks (6-9, 5-2). All eight of Columbia's shots were on goal.

Columbia visits No. 4 Harvard on Friday at 3 p.m.
