Jordan, Sleeman and Townsend earn spots on the second team; Chapman and Smiechowski were named honorable mention
PRINCETON, N.J. — Five Columbia football players were recognized on the 2025 All-Ivy League teams, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. Offensive lineman Noah Jordan, punter Tommy Sleeman and defensive lineman Justin Townsend earned second-team honors, while offensive lineman Mark Chapman and linebacker Jack Smiechowski received honorable mention.
Jordan collected his second straight All-Ivy recognition after starting all 10 games at right tackle. The senior anchored the Lions' offensive line and helped Columbia eclipse 150 rushing yards in three games, including a season-high 253 yards in the win over Cornell on Nov. 22.
Sleeman finished No. 2 in the Ivy League and No. 30 in the FCS with an average of 42.7 yards per punt, a mark that also ranks third on Columbia's single-season list. The sophomore from Henderson, Nevada, recorded nine punts of 50 or more yards, including three over 60, with a long of 65 in the season opener at Lafayette.
Townsend earned All-Ivy recognition for the second time after leading the Ancient Eight with 14.0 tackles for loss. His 8.5 sacks ranked second in the conference and fourth on Columbia's single-season list. The senior captain also became Columbia's career sack leader after posting 2.5 in the season finale against Cornell.
Chapman received his second straight honorable mention after starting all 10 games at center. A team captain and the Lions' Academic All-Ivy League selection, the senior economics major was also a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, the highest academic honor in college football.
Smiechowski earned his second consecutive All-Ivy League nod following a team-high 78 tackles. The senior from Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, added three interceptions, placing him among the Ivy League leaders, as well as a sack and four tackles for loss.
Yale running back and defensive back Abu Kamara were the Ivy League's Bushnell Cup winners, given to the league's offensive and defensive players of the year. Penn return specialist Julien Stokes was named Special Teams Player of the Year, Princeton wide receiver Josh Robinson earned Rookie of the Year and Yale received Coaching Staff of the Year.
