HARTFORD, Conn. – The Columbia men's and women's squash teams came up short against Trinity College on Saturday at the Kellner Squash Center.
 
MEN'S RECAP
Eighth-ranked Columbia picked up three individual wins Saturday, but ultimately fell short to No. 4 Trinity, 6-3. The Lions move to 4-5 overall this season after the loss. Yusuf Sheikh, Tommy Soltanian and Imad Athar registered victories in the contest against Trinity. Sheikh worked through four games for an 11-13, 11-7, 11-8, 11-8. Athar defeated Ahmed Ismail in just three games, 11-4, 11-7, 11-5. Soltanian defeated Daniel Simon in four games, 11-3, 4-11, 12-10, 11-3.

WOMEN'S RECAP
No. 3 Trinity posted a 9-0 win over ninth-ranked Columbia on Saturday. The Lions now move to 3-6 overall this season. Simmi Chan and Eugenia Li battled to five games in their contests, but ultimately lost. Chan swapped games with Trinity's Jana Safy in the No. 1 position, but Safy prevailed in the fifth game to earn the victory. Li lost her first game against Fabiola Cabello in the No. 7 spot before coming back to win the second and third games. Cabello came back to win the final two games to defeat Li.
