Weiss averaged 25.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steal across two road wins over Harvard and Dartmouth last weekend. She shot 51.5 percent from the floor and 56.3 percent (9-16) from 3-point range. The highlight of her week came against Harvard, where she scored a career-high 26 points and shot 5-for-9 from 3-point range. The Lions torched Harvard's NCAA-leading scoring defense for 80 points en route to victory.
Weiss is one of the most elite 3-point shooters in the country, ranking No. 3 in the NCAA at 3.25 made threes per game. Her 65 total threes rank ninth and her 167 attempts are top 10. Meanwhile, she is hitting 38.9 percent of her threes, which is tops in the Ivy League and top 75 nationally.
A native of Hewlett, New York, Weiss was also selected among 50 standout women's college basketball players for the 2024-25 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award
Midseason Watch List. Members of the association's board of directors chose the players for consideration for the National Player of the Year. All Division I players remain eligible for the award.
Last week's victories kept Columbia (16-4, 7-0 Ivy) alone atop the
Ivy League standings. The Lions have won nine straight overall and extended their Ivy League winning streak to 17 straight dating back to last season.
Columbia visits Brown (10-10, 4-3 Ivy) on Saturday. Opening tip from the Pizzitola Sports Center, the site of
