NEW YORK —
Columbia baseball,softball, women's tennis and track and field are featured in this week's edition of Lions on the Road. Every week, GoColumbiaLions.com will be using "Lions on the Road" to preview that week's upcoming games and events happening off campus.
Baseball
The Lions (8-11, 3-0) are winners of four straight games headed into this weekend's series at Princeton. Columbia dominated Manhattan on Wednesday with a 19-4 victory. The Lions set a new program record for a single-game with nine stolen bases against the Jaspers. Columbia is now 44-9 at home since the beginning of 2022.
Sam Miller is tied for the Ivy League lead with 27 hits, while
Anton Lazits leads the conference with seven home runs and is tied for the lead with 21 runs scored.
Ben Fishel's .474 on-base percentage ranks second in the Ivy League. The Lions lead the league in runs, home runs, hits, doubles, RBIs, total bases, and slugging percentage. Columbia has scored 19 runs three times this season.
Columbia is 110-127-2 all-time against the Tigers. Last season, Columbia took the series in the regular season before dropping an Ivy League Tournament game to Princeton.

Softball
The Columbia softball team resumes Ivy League play when the Lions travel to Cambridge, Mass., for a three-game series against Harvard. The Lions (9-10, 3-0 IVY) wrapped up a four-game homestand on Wednesday with an 8-3 loss to UAlbany on Wednesday, prior to that Columbia opened conference play with a dominating three-game sweep over visiting Penn. At the plate, the Lions are hitting .306 as a team which is tied for second in the Ivy. In the circle, the Lions boast a staff ERA of 5.96. Harvard (11-7, 0-3 IVY) is making their home debut after getting swept on the road by Princeton. Due to the expected weather in Cambridge, this weekend's series has been moved to a double header Friday and a single game Saturday. The series starts at 2:00 p.m.

Women's Tennis
The 71st-ranked Columbia women's tennis team begins Ivy League play this weekend with a match against Cornell. The Lions are 9-6 overall and fresh off a win over visiting Denver. In the match, the Lions dropped the doubles point but came back to win the match on the strength of strong singles play.

Track & Field
The track and field team's outdoor season continues this weekend, with two meets on schedule. The Lions will first begin the Raleigh Relays later today, which will run through Saturday. In addition, a portion of the team will compete at the Monmouth Season Opener on Saturday in New Jersey. Columbia opened the outdoor season last week at the Penn Challenge, and found success.
Parker Kim had the Lions' top finish in the meet, taking third place in the hammer throw with a personal-best mark of 60.71m.
Obiora Okeke and
Anthony Colucci finished fourth and sixth, respectively, in the event.
Jada Mia Puryear had the top performance for the women, finishing fourth in the discus with a mark of 41.11m. The Lions hope to keep the momentum going this weekend.
