NEW YORK – Columbia heavyweight rowers
Adam Pushner and
Colton Millar have been named to the Empacher-Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRCA) All-Americans, while 11 Lions earned to the Empacher-IRCA Scholar Athlete recognition.
The Intercollegiate Rowing Collegiate Association (IRCA) announced its 2025 All-American honors and Scholar-Athletes last Wednesday. Pushner took home second team honors, while Millar was named to the Honorable Mention team. Additionally,

Peter Woodville,
Barney Russell,
Eric Morais,
Daniel Robbins,
Alessandro Lee,
Harry Halper, and
Victor Popovic joined Pushner and Millar on the Scholar Athlete list.
To be considered for All-American honors, student-athletes must meet all institution eligibility requirements, compete in their team's varsity boat during the spring season, be nominated by their institution, and have a head coach in good standing with the IRCA.
To be named a "scholar-athlete," rowers and coxswains must have met the following criteria: Be in their second year or more of eligibility, competed in their program's top three boats during the current season or raced at the 2025 IRA Championship, and have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA through the fall semester.
Earning the academic recognition this year are:
Six hundred ninety-two rowers and coxswains met the criteria set by the IRCA's Awards and Polling Committee, a five percent increase over last year's 657 honorees and a 72 percent increase since the association began awarding this honor at the end of the 2021 spring season. In total, 61 teams (54 heavyweights and 7 lightweight) were represented. The Ivy League accounted for 186 out of the 692 athletes.
