ESSEN, Germany – Columbia University archery rising senior
Sydney Sullenberger and her teammates helped the United States capture silver at the 2025 FISU World University Games in the compound women team bracket.
Along with teammates Leann Drake and Danielle Woodie, Sullenberger the trio opened the competition defeating Kazakhstan 233-228. In the semifinals, the US defeated India by three points, 233-230 before falling to Korea in the finals 233-230.
The silver is Sullenberger's third medal on the international stage. In 2023, she captured gold at the World Youth Archery Championships in Limerick, Ireland. That same summer, she also won the National Championship at USA Archery JOAD Target Nationals. Sullenberger was named to the United States Archery Team (USAT) as one of five in the women's compound U21 division.
