NEW YORK — Columbia fencing, women's tennis, men's swimming & diving, and wrestling are featured in this week's edition of Lions on the Road. Every week, GoColumbiaLions.com will be using Lions on the Road to preview that week's upcoming games and events happening off campus.

Men's Swimming & Diving
The Lions are coming off a hot start to 2026 after picking up a 157-143 win over Brown, and will look to back it up with a strong performance against Navy on Friday in Maryland. A full weekend preview will be available on GoColumbiaLions.com later this week.

Wrestling
The Columbia wrestling team begins Ivy League action this weekend when it takes on Princeton on Friday night at 7 p.m. and Penn on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Lions enter Ivy competition 4-3 in duals after winning two matches in a row. Last time out, Columbia soundly defeated visiting Morgan State at Levien Gym, 44-4. Entering this week, the Lions have seven athletes ranked in the top 33 by InterMat. Lorenzo Frezza is ranked No. 19 at 141, Kai Owen is No. 18 at 157, Cesar Alvan is No. 31 at 165, Nick Fine is No. 28 at 174, Aaron Ayzerov is No. 23 at 184, Jack Wehmeyer is No. 32 at 197, and Vincent Mueller is No. 32 at 285. Frezza, Owen, Alvan, Fine, and Ayzerov are all ranked in the FloWrestling rankings as well. Columbia has three athletes who rank in the top 10 nationally in falls and tech falls. Mueller leads the nation in wins via fall with 10, and Curtis is ranked third in the nation with eight. Fine is tied for third in the nation in tech falls with eight.

Women's Tennis
The Columbia women's tennis team gets its first test of the spring season this weekend when it travels to Chapel Hill, N.C. to participate in the ITA Kickoff hosted by North Carolina. The Lions open the two-day event taking on No. 3 North Carolina on Saturday at 11 a.m. On Sunday they will play either Penn State or Charlotte with the start of that match to be determined. Last time out, the Lions defeated visiting LIU 7-0 at the Philip & Milstein Family Tennis Center.

Fencing
The Lions have a busy Sunday on deck at the Penn State Invitational. The women have seven rounds, while the men take on six opponents in both squads final tuneup before the Ivy League Round Robins (Feb. 7-8). Last weekend, Columbia faced off against some of the best teams in the nation with the women going 4-1 and the men posting a 3-2 mark. Individually, senior Zander Rhodes went 9-0 in women's foil, and Zeyad Nofal was 10-2 in men's sabre.
