Women's Swimming & Diving Challenges Dartmouth on Senior Day

The Lions will welcome the Big Green to Uris Natatorium at 11 a.m.
Spectators without a valid Columbia University ID or a registered QR code must enter the Uris Swim Center Balcony through the Northwest Corner Building at W120th & Broadway.
SENIOR DAY
Prior to the meet, Columbia and Head Coach Diana Caskey will honor its group of seven seniors who will be swimming in the final home meet of their careers on Saturday. This includes Grace Dunne, Olivia Kim, Chloe Leung, Sally Ma, Hayley Reed, Hutton Saunders, and Lindsay Orringer.
CELEBRATING THE CLASS OF 2001
Columbia women's swimming and diving is excited to welcome back the class of 2001, celebrating their 25th anniversary. The Lions will be honoring and celebrating the team after the meet.
LAST TIME OUT
For the first time since 2016, the Lions fell 197-103 to Cornell in an Ivy League contest last Friday.
Columbia opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay, as the A relay of Shaelyn Shields, Ashley Hong, Ella Chan, and Sally Ma touched in 1:41.85.
The Lions saw success early in the distance events, led by Lindsay Orringer's runner-up finish in the 1000 freestyle (10:00.00). Mia Avansino followed in third (10:09.67), while Meredith Stewart added a fourth-place showing to give Columbia three top-four finishers in the event.
In the sprint freestyle events, Ma delivered a highlight performance, capturing first place in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.24 and later placing second in the 100 freestyle (51.16). Isabel Lee added points with a fifth-place finish in the 100 free.
On the boards, Chloe Leung delivered a standout performance, winning the 1-meter dive with a score of 281.93.
SCOUTING DARTMOUTH
The Big Green enter Saturday's meet with a 3-5 record, with a 1-5 mark in Ivy League competition so far this season.
Last season, Dartmouth was 4-8 overall and 1-4 in conference. They would go on to finish seventh at Ivies.
In last year's showdown, the Lions came away with a 189-11 win in New Hampshire.
Last time out, Dartmouth took down both Northeastern and UMass in the Tate Ramsden Invitational. Izzy Mundee's performance in the 1650 freestyle was a huge highlight as her time of 16:33.76 was a new pool record, also a new lifetime best and good for second in program history.

ON DECK
With the conclusion of the regular season, the Lions will now begin preparations for the Ivy League Championships which will begin on February 18 at Brown.
The team will compete in the BU Invite on February 6-8 to help prepare.
