NEW YORK — Columbia tennis, lacrosse, track and field, and softball are featured in this week's edition of Lions on the Road. Every week, GoColumbiaLions.com will preview that week's upcoming games and events happening off campus.

Women's Tennis
The 51st-ranked Columbia women's tennis team took a nine-spot jump in the latest ITA Tennis rankings. At 9-3 overall, and having won four of their last five, the Lions look to extend their winning streak to four matches when they take on FIU at Noon on Wednesday. It will be the final nonconference match before Columbia begins Ivy League play on Saturday, March 28, when Cornell comes to the Philip & Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center. In their current winning streak, the Lions have now allowed a point to their opponents, sweeping Marshall, Wagner, and NJIT, 4-0 at home.
Track and Field
Track and Field begins its outdoor season this weekend, starting with the USF Alumni Invitational on Friday along with the Penn Challenge which begins on Saturday. The Lions are fresh off a successful indoor season, which culminated with some great performances at Indoor Heps at the Armory resulting in eight student-athletes receiving All-Ivy recognition. Joshua Adams in the Long Jump, Haydn Brotschi in the 400m, and the 4x800m relay squad all were honored for their second place finishes. They, along with the rest of the Lions, will look to ride this momentum into the outdoor campaign.
